Oktoberfest 2018
October 27, 2018 was the last road trip of the year for our Jaguar club, to a member's farm in Merced for their Oktoberfest celebration. We had 5 cars in attendance, including our host's newly acquired E-type.
Nix was the Only Xj6 present this year, unlike previous years when she was one of 3 or 4. But time moves on.
Our host had invited several of his local Jaguar enthusiast neighbors, making a final field of 10 cars, including an example of the First year E-type and the Last year E-type. However, there was not a V-12 to be found anywhere!
But the Prettiest car of them all was Nix!
I freely admit my bias.
She performed Flawlessly! Made an overall fuel economy of 18mpg in 550 miles. My Addequate Vehicle only makes 22 on a good day.
This included a stretch of about 50 miles of stop and go (Nix Hates that!) wherein she only made 14.31mpg; poor even for her and the way I drive.
The best stretch was I-5 freeway at ~70mph, 2400rpm, when she made 25mpg! Outstanding!
This tells me she likes to stretch her legs and Run!
But I already knew that.
A good time was had by all.

Beverage, Carl?
Several actually, for all tastes. There was some Munchen, and husband contributed some of our local brew:

For the non beer drinkers there was a selection of wines and, ahem, Other beverages.
It was a Fine way to end the club tripping season.
