Hi ! :)
Can you give us more/better details to correctly identify your car? 'Mk2' and 'XJS' are totally different cars, and the XJS never had a 3.4 engine. The Mk2 could have a 3.4 engine but that model was out of production long before 1977. Cheers DD |
The car is xjs 1977 with the 3.4 engine carb not injection thanks

Hi right the car is 1977 xj6 series 2 with 3.4 carb engine
|
Well, the Ser III XJ6s with the 3.4 carb engine had two pumps....one inside of each fuel tank. Since you're not seeing any external pumps I'm inclined to think that yours are tank mounted as well.
Someone who knows more about Ser II cars will come along, I'm sure. Cheers DD |
Yep.
Doug is spot on. The 3.4 S2 is a rare car outside Mother England. That year does have a fuel pump inside each tank. You would need very good hearing to actually hear them. They are accessable via a panel in the wheel arch, so wheel OFF, panel OFF, tank opening is in your face, rotate the ring, and reach in. Make sure the fuel level is REAL low, or you gonna get washed in petrol. |
