can anyone give me any clues as to why when turning left or right the power steering seems to be sluggish.almost as though its not going to work is the best way of explaining it:icon_bike:

My first thoughts as always.

How old is the fluid. Should be syringed out and refreshed annually.

Failing that, the rack is bypassing internally (not common), the belt is slipping, the balljoints are seized (had that a few times).

problem resolved was tight ball joint on track rod end thanks for everyones help

can any one explain to me why the power steering squeels on full left and right hand lock I have changed the fluid which was black now all clean

It is designed to do that.

It is the pressure valve blowing off inside the pump itself.

Basically the system saying "Back off a tad, it wont go any further, its already on FULL LOCK".
