Default Purchasing all the belts up front....

Since I’m replacing my alternator belt due to its disintegration a coupla weeks ago, I may as well pick up three new ones from Autozone, (for A/C compressor, air pump, power steering, etc.) what sizes will I need? They have model specific, I’d rather get those, they don’t list what goes where until you see the description, what do I ask for? Here’s a pic to enjoy of the work of art I own...

Are there numbers on your existing belts?
I always just take the numbers to my favorite parts house (NAPA) and let them find the crossover to their brand.

New belts will seem shorter because they haven't worn into the pulley grove, nor have they stretched under heat and load. And actually, these are 2 of the best reasons to change all the belts anyway "while you're at it."

I've done the same; EZ. Or take the belts themselves.

Often the belt part number is a description of the belt. For example "15335" might break down this way

1 = conventional v-belt
5 = .375" wide
335 = 33.5 inch length

Or something like that. I'm a bit rusty.

Elsewhere on the belt you might something like 15335:007. As I recall numbers after the colon are a more precise measurement, useful if if have a dual-pulley situation and need an exact match

Anyhow.....

Another alternative is to contact one of the usual Jag vendors who often sell a 'belt kit'. You'll get belts with the neat little Jaguar logo and Jaguar part numbers and, usually, surprisingly inexpensively.

Cheers
