Rat Jags

There seems to be a lot of threads on resto's & lumping of Jag's but i was really curious as to whether anyone has ratted out their Jag.
Would love to see some pic's if there are any.
Really like things that are that little bit "different"

Now where talkin :icon_twisted:
I have had all sorts of weird ideas for mine. Good thing i'm a bit short on coin at the moment cos anything could have happened. It does need paint however as the current paint is very very thin but matching the colour is proving to be a right royal PITA so the idea of satin black was thrown up & well,,, you can guess where the conversation went after that, hence the reason for this thread.

So that is how one gets at those pesky hidden front door hinge bolts!!

Helps pone understand the structure. Necropsy?

Sometimes I regret cutting the rear of the wings on a pair of genuine wings but you can't salvage everything, can you??

Haha love that mad max jag, pretty cool. I wouldn't do it to mine but if I had a wreck... Absolutely.

There's a guy in Auckland Nz doing a similar thing, he's made his look pretty mean too. He has it set up for slalom.

I'll upload a picture if I can find one.

Anjum:

Yeah, I get it. But, if absolutely necessary, you could weld the cut out parts back on!!

Reminds me of the tales of the Sea bees in the South Pacific in WWII. Road graders needed to make landing strips would not fit the transport planes of the time. They cut them in two. 1/2 to a plane. Once landed, welded back together and put to work.

You generally don't need to... time and abuse takes care of it :D
Series 1 cars look good with a bit of patina, I like mine scruffy.

anjum 06-12-2016 06:32 PM

Too late, Carl

What little was left of the car has gone to the great scrapyard in the sky! Mind you I've got most of it still!

LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT.
Just a little patina.
And those mufflers, nothing like a pair of bike mufflers to add some cooooool.

anjum 06-16-2016 08:52 AM

Noooooooooh!!!!!!

JagCad 06-16-2016 08:53 AM

Yeah, oh yeah, slick,

But, why any mufflers? Just let it roar.

something weird going on here

Stoney85 06-19-2016 09:36 PM

I love this style, but only if the car is already too far gone to make a normal restoration a logical step, my other passion is datsuns, and there is a website called ratsuns, some prime examples of stuff on the road that really shouldn't be allowed.
