Anyone know of a source for the bushings in the rear shock eyes? I can't seem to find them listed as a separate part at any of the usual suppliers.

My shocks are fine (checked them before removing the IRS) but the bushings are all somewhat deformed, so I figured this would be a good time to replace them.

Jaguar Xj6 1987 Suspension Parts

 

Try taking measurements and searching for bushings by size. I need to do the same thing, the bottom bushing is missing on the rear left shock of my XJ6.

 

Tried - they weren't overly helpful - referred me to the universal parts. Can't really find anything close enough that I think will work.

Anyone ever replaced just the bushings?

 

I think that is a rubber part that comes with the shocks but not sold separately.

 

Spare bushings are available at most auto parts stores in the Help section.

 

Go to a discount tire store and ask them if they have some of those.

Found something that fits - it's Energy Suspension 9.8141 in case anyone else is looking.

I was hung up on thinking I needed something with a metal sleeve but I think that's only really of importance if you have rotation - like a link bar.

 

I wonder how the red poly ones would perform?

 

I should have mentioned - the ones I specified are poly. I chose black, but should be much the same performance I'd imagine.

 

yes, I would use polyurethane too.

 

So that is the lower shock bushing "Energy Suspension 9.8141".

what about the upper bushings. ive been searching for poly upper rear shock bushings 70/80 grade urethane.

Has anyone come across any good options?
