Recovering Dash Pad
Has anyone done this? Ive seen this spray finishes after fixing the cracked vinyl like this: https://www.polyvance.com/280Z-Dashboard-Repair/
Or I could just cover it up with a pad cover, or I was thinking about using adhesive vinyl and just try to recover it. Something like this: the cheapest solution and what im going to try is the vinyl with adhesive backing... thoughts? Also curious does anyone know what the center grille on my dash pad is for? right between the two vents... popped it off and doesnt seem to have a purpose besides covering a couple extra screws securing the dash https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.jag...465d35d1d.jpeg |
what year model is the car?
World Upholstery in California sells dash covers. |
Don't have that in SIII but looks like a great place to put sunglasses and phone.

I think a dash cap will be my backup plan.
Here is a picture of another series 1 dash that shows the center grill on the dash. they obviously phased it out in the later year cars just not sure what it is. https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.jag...c49e0edbab.jpg |
Mercan cars of that era had a speaker grill in that spot.
