hi: where are the relays shown in the upper left corner of this schematic located in the car? behind the glove box?

 

I believe they are in the black box seen in this picture.

Correct. You will find them by undoing the vent and removing the LHS tunnel vent cheek, fixed to the side of the HVAC unit.

 

Hi, here's a picture of the relay unit shown above as seen after removing the left cheek panel / vent. It's the black box in the middle that the maze of wiring plugs into. The round connector to the amplifier is to the right with the "L" shaped amp itself hidden behind everything.

I Salvaged these two from a junk car so I know how to get at them The amplifier is on the left. Is the box on the right what contains the four colored relays referenced in the schematic? I was looking for the usual cube shaped relays

 

Yes, it's 4 relays in one box.
