Default Removing jaguar bonnet badge?

Hi All,

I have recently purchased a new badge for my series 3 and I wanted to know what was the easiest way to fit?

Do I have to remove the chrome from the bonnet and feed it underneath or should the badge just pop out?

The badge I have bought is included in the link below.

DAIMLER "D" GRILLE BADGE FITS SOVEREIGN - DOUBLE SIX SERIES 3 & DS420 BAC2801 | eBay

Thanks again for your help.

the shape is different from the Series 3 Jaguar badge, but the replacement should be the same; you need to remove the Center Bar, under which the plastic emblem or badge is "trapped". Not sure about the Daimler but you might be able to remove the bar without removing the entire grille. There are two or three screws or bolts or nuts behind the center bar, loosen and remove those to remove the bar. You might be able to access them by opening the bonnet and looking behind the grille.

TIP: use masking tape to hold the bar in place as you remove the screws, otherwise the bar might fall after the last screw is removed and you might damage the bar's chrome.

TIP: there is a piece of foam-rubber that is placed behind the emblem to exert outwards pressure on the emblem when you reinstall the bar. This foam should also be replaced as the old piece might be dry and no longer does the job.
