repair\owners manuals options

I'm sure this is answered somewhere here but the search feature is not pulling up results. I guess it is part of the learning curve here.
Wondering what the options are for repair manuals pertaining to series 3 xj6.
Found a Haynes manual on Amazon for $850 ........um...no thanks!!!!!!! yikes!
Thanks for any input

DAMN, that has to be a misprint.

Waaaaaaay back, Pre computers etc, I had Haynes for all my Jags, the ones they made manuals for, and Jaguar (Green cover) for the rest, which I got from teh Dealer in those days.

Then stooging around libraries, book shops etc found the rest.

Local Jag club was helpful, as was photocopy usage.

Wrote LOTS of notes as I learnt my way.

TODAY

Weell, ?bay, etc has them from time to time, and Google is probably a good search medium.

Each market has its own oddities in these cars, soa USA spec is different to an OZ spec in lots of ways, so take care the manual is for your market.

The "stickies" at the top of each Tech Section generally has provision for manuals for download, I just found one for the X Type.

Good hunting,

Yep $85 maybe. I just purchased on for my S11 which contains details for the S111 as well, then I went into the club library that I am holding and find there are 2 in there exactly the same :(

if you don't have any luck downloading the Factory Service and Parts manuals here, go to my website where I have them for free download.

Thanks for the input.
Between some purchased books and the downloads it should cover things pretty well.

When I had a Series 3, (14 year ownership !!), I found the parts catalogue as useful as the workshop manual, if not more so in certain situations.

A real mine of information as it shows the layout of parts.

You'll also want the S57 Electrical guide. Downloadable from one of the sticky threads at the top of this section or one of us can send it to you. Jose might have it on his website.

Cheers
DD
