Series 1 engine removal

Hi all,
Got the air compressor done getting regased while i log on , thanks Clarke for the info lucky i got a parts car had to change alternator mounting and air compressor mounting but got there . So engine ,want to remove the engine out of the parts car to slowly rebuild at home ,car is in a storage shed so dont want to do engine ,gearbox and all underneath if i can so will engine come out on its own ?. Will it come past front cross member and steering rack to clear the front gear box shaft ?
Cheers Howie

No idea why you would want to try this. And I suspect you will not be able to withdraw all the gearbox mounting bolts (if you can indeed get to them all), as they will not clear the body.

When we did the engine swap we didn't even consider removing the box with with the engine. Started at 5am and we were doing a test drive at 5pm.
