Default series 2 coupe

h all have series 2 coupe and would like to change gear box to a newer one and would I have to change the rear axel

Sereis 2 coupe should have a 3:31 diff. This is the perfect ratio in many respects. It's OK with a 3 speed auto, it's perfect for an typical GM Automatic 700R4/4l60e/4l80e/200r4, TKO 5 speed or T56 conversion offering lots of advantage in the lower gears and sedate cruising in the upper gears.

ICS a Federal S2 would most likely be a 3:54.

ICS please excuse me--You are of course correct--I had been answering some questions on series 2 E types and saw this thread on the main feed. I thought S2 Coupe was E--not XJC--sorry.

Well I see so no way off updating the 1975 series 2 coupe xjc
