I've read all I can find but for some reason, I just can't find it in spite of knowing what to look for from advice here and at jag- lovers.

It's an 86 XJ6 and all else is in order -- clean and new parts. It does not stall but it is at a rate that you wouldn't be surprised if it did. I want to move it up maybe 500 rpms.

 

A few inches forward of the throttle body you'll see a small aluminum casting bolted to the intake manifold. It has a couple hoses attached. The idle speed screw is recessed into that casting. You'll need an allen wrench and some patience to actually make the adjustment

Thanks, guys. Found it. Hiding behind hoses.
I bought an allen wrench for bend and am excited to have the chance to fix this nagging problem. Let's hope that it isn't frozen.
