steering rack
 
HI, Has anyone experience of the removal of a steering rack from an XJ6 1985 series three. I have a feeling its going be a abit of a "dock yard " job. ANy tips would be helpful.

hey Pat, on www.jag-lovers.org there is a page dedicated to your dilema. I have an 87 and it doesn't appear to be too dificult however, be prepared to replace the bushings if they appear worn. Spend the extra cash now instead of doing the job all over again..

A JAG RACK IS REAL COSTLEY YOU CAN GET A REBUILT FOR LESS THEN HALF AND AS SAID DO THE BUSHINGS AND ALSO THE LINES AT THE SAME TIM NOT TO HARD BUT IT HELPS IF YOU HAVE A 3RD HAND.
