Sun roof or not

Sun roof or not
Hey folks I have a 97xj6l it has what looks like a sun roof on top and a pull open door on inside ceiling I don't see any glass and don't know if it opens or not were the sun roofs made of metal or glass? How would I open it?

this forum is for XJ-6 / XJ-12 Series 1 thru 3 made from 1968 until 1987 and for the V12 Series 3 made from 1988 to 1992.
your car is a X300 or X350 XJ-6. Look in the forum list to find your model / year.
yes, sounds like you have a sunroof, whether it is glass or metal, other owners of the same year will know.
