I found this folded nicely in the rear map pocket of the passenger seat just today (I didn't think to check the drivers seat, tomorrow). The folds are very crisp and set so I think it has been in there for quite awhile. Does anyone know if a small British flag was ever put in new cars at the factory or at dealerships? It's not a high grade flag, coarsely woven cloth without any wording.

I found this Gucci money clip under the rear bench seat. No money though. What kind of cheap skate has a Gucci money clip with no money in it. Well according to ebay it's work a little over $100. As others mentioned I've found coins, kids toys, small tools and lots of yucky things like dried coffee and coke stains.

Good idea to ask us about our finds. Makes for fun reading. Ren

Yes they count. Those wire nuts might be the why you had wiring problems Darren, they are not the connector of choice for auto wiring.

Back in the mid-80’s as a student I bought a 1957 Wolseley 1500. The chap I bought it from only wanted the registration number as it matched his initials. Before that the car was one owner, a spinster

In the boot I found a lump of coal, a bag of rice and a horse-shoe.

In about 2003 I bought a 1951 Morris 8 Series Z van. It was one owner from new. He was a window cleaner. The van had been parked up since 1974 when the owner retired. When I bought it, it was still full of his work equipment, ready to carry on next day, despite the 30-year gap. There was also a spare pair of spectacles on the parcel shelf and other paraphernalia such as a race meeting card etc.

Not to often a used vehicle comes with a method of paying for itself

Pick a Part sounds like a scroungers dream. We don't have one up here, we also don't have kangaroo's, warm weather right now, ladies underwear under the seats (not sure about that one), or half a dog bone feeding a family of small worms. We are still truly on the fringes of the frontier.

Alaska seems like it would be an amazing place for the right kind of people. Not too much room for human snowflakes I imagine.

I follow the Blancolirio aviation channel on Googletube, he did a report from "Windy Wasilla" while bush flying recently. I thought hang on a minute I have seen that name before :-)

" In the boot I found a lump of coal, a bag of rice and a horse-shoe." Ah yes, the natural combination. We've all been there

I was amazed that they were/are considered the go to product for AC house wiring. But clearly they have worked for a long time, just a matter of what you are accustomed to and consider "normal"

Steve,
Re: "windy Wasilla" is an appropriate title at times. I just posted about our latest wind storm in the Off Topic forum under "weather.....". We usually get one or two like this every year. The winter ones are the worst.

I bought my car in 2013, first time I removed the centre console I found this.
I have used most of the contents since then. Members who were around then may remember me mentioning it in one of my posts.

Many, many items over the years.

Most striking were:

Shotgun shells, unused.
Confetti, lots of it in the MK X and the Daimler.
Enid Blyton kids books in the S Type (1964 version).
Tools, hell yes.

Scariest was a carefully wrapped item in the LHR door of one of the S2 Jags, inside the door, and wire secured to the window mechanism, hence my looking as that window never worked properly. Once removed and unwrapped, a pistol. Rang the cops, and let it be, not on my list of keepers.

I bet cops then discovered that gun was implicated in several unsolved crimes of varying degrees of severity over numerous years.
Not that they would have told you that, or the party they had to celebrate the closing of those cases.

Bill De Creeft. I hope all is well in his life.

Oh, I watch the adventures of the Kilcher family. Interesting folks. tough negotiators, but honest as one could ever expect.

When, I was called to active duty in the army., Three locations were avaiable to new second looeys. Korea in full battle. Life of a FO not long. Alaska/ Cold for a West Texas kid.

I got super lucky. Germany!!!! cold, yes, and the Russians. to sweat.

I was in Alaska twice., Anchorage. Summer, each time, on business !

Grant - I may have an answer to why the confetti in your car. When Barb and I were married in May (51 years ago), we had a 1965 Chevy Impala. The car did not have A/C, but of course a heater. In October, when we first fired up the heater blower, masses amounts of confetti blew out of the air ducts everywhere. As it turns out our Best Man and his crew put confetti into them thinking we would turn it on upon leaving the Ceremony. We were cleaning out confetti all the way up until we sold the car years later. True story!

Great video, Steve, thank for sharing.

When I was a little kid, we used to drive by a small airport on our way to town, where all the planes were tied down in exactly this manner, all headed the same direction.

I asked my dad why they would do that, he said to keep the WIND from blowing them away. It seemed very strange to a 5 year old, because we lived in a valley that was cross-ways to prevailing wind and I never saw wind blow that hard.

When I got older I learned just how WINDY Montana can be.

I found a $20 under the floor mat, and a toolkit in the trunk wheel well. The PO was prepared.

That would add to the attractiveness of most any car. Congratulations.
