"Dear Mrs X, Found these stuffed down the back seat of the car your husband recently sold me. I guess they must be yours. Best wishes."

I'm amazed it got to you with all that stuff still in it! Especially that very nice owner book in its vinyl carrier.

Wasn't in a Jaguar, but I was at the junkyard and pulled down the trim piece under the glovebox in a Crown Victoria and this is what I saw:

I'll high-jack my own thread to follow Carl's story.

A few years ago I decided to adopt an old section of local roadway for cleanup days. It is down wind from local businesses and one of them is a well known home improvement store. .....and the terrain is on 40* to 85* angle for about 300' down to the railroad tracks. Has NEVER been cleaned. I spent two non-consecutive years on this project and hauled 102 of the yellow cleanup bags out of a section only 600' long. This is about half the distance needed. Finally the punch-line, the first year I found $50 ($20 bill laying in the grass, $20 bill in McDonald's take-out bag which the dumb as& forgot before pitching it out the window, $10 in another fast food bag) and the second year netted me $2.

I haven't been back because the lack of self respect, decency of doing the right thing, and awareness of the environment by so many people has made me much less tolerant of all people, and I haven't appreciated it.

In my second Jaguar, the PO left these bunch of items including some Jaguar accessories, transmission oils and steering fluid, auto spraying gun and some few brand new replacement parts like Bosch oxygen sensor, handbrake pads, etc.
there is even a telephone installed in the center console that he left in the car, but his can one use that system here. Well I have taken the needed items out.
attach some photos.

Clearly the PO did not major on tidiness or even basic housekeeping. What a tip of a car !! I hope there was a good car underneath that lot trying to get out !

Clearly you are a glutton for punishment Mike. I hope you find a pearl after you've peeled back the layers of that onion.

I was just thinking, as Mike's car was being *shipped,* and shipping is charged by *weight,* what if the shipper had all this Junk and Trash just lying around in the way, and saw the Huge, Cavernous trunk/boot of the Jag and killed 2 birds with one stone, so to speak..............
