Default Transmission installation

Ok guys, I'm doing a motor/transmission swap from my 95 xj6 to another 96 that I have. I'm doing this at home so consequently I had remove the motor from the top instead of dropping it out on the subframe. I also had to remove the trans separately. My question here is How many clicks or drops should I get when installing the torque converter..? I have it barely clearing the bell housing right now. Is it seated as far as it should be..?

Um, none of our cars are that new, being series 2, 3, 3 Xj6s. I'm thinking you have an Xj40, even though the trunk badge says Xj6. Confusing, isn't it.

Try over in the Xj49 section here:
XJ40 ( XJ81 ) - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum

And then you might want to drop by the New Members section and post an introduction.

To get some proper guidance you need to post in the X300 section which covers your '95 & '96.
