Turn signals

I haven't been on here for a while. Been real busy with work and my baby has been doing just fine with no issues. But a couple days ago my turn signals started working intermediately. at one intersection it works fine, then i get to the next and it doesn't flash. I've had flasher fuses go out in other vehicles before, but they just go out, the don't work sometimes and other times not. Does anyone know what causes this? Does anyone know where the flasher fuse is?

Fuse #10 in the main (LH) fuse box. The contacts might be dirty.

Also try exercising the hazard lights switch rather vigorously. Power for the turn signals come thru the hazard lights switch. Sometimes the internal contacts become oxidized and exercising the switch cleans them.

Or....You might have a flasher relay on its last legs. Not unusual.

Cheers

Flasher relay and the flasher fuse are different parts.

My contribution to the "solution" of electrickery….

test

Fuse is new, but I just took it out and reset. looks good
I flipped the Hazard switch about 20 times and all it did was turn them on solid, no flashing.
Where is the flasher relay?

Good !

Unfortunately I don't know where the flasher unit is located. Look here for S57. The electrical schematic for these cars. Very useful. Nope, more than that, essential!!

Not your issue at this time. But the glass fuses may look good, but be "open" inside,.
A new fuse at least to test the circuit.

I think you are on target. Find the flasher.

I'm sure Doug knows right where it is.

Thanks JagCad for the S57 idea. I found it and got it replaced. It's wonderful having a parts car.
