UK Jaguar banger racing
Wonder where all those series II bumpers are! |
Can I have those pepperpots when you crash the car?
|
A gentleman's sport - clearly!
|
Most of them didn't look like Jags by the end.

Many don't even look like Jags at the beginning! It's hard for me to watch something like this. (';') |
lets not forget the reality here, they are just old junk cars!
|
i can remember after WW2, when scrape metal prices fell sharply, these kind of cars had NO value, i would see these old Caddys and even Duesenberg in local junkyards! 1947/1950.
my how times change, the guy who owns this Caddy , just sold a 1934 Duezy SJ speedster, for $2.4 million! hows that for appreciating value and it starts as JUNK! https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.jag...fd52d03c77.jpg 1931 Cadillac V16, Dual cockpit . ron |
personally i dont think will ever see XJ /XJS Jaguar reach 100K numbers , at least not in our life time!
back few yrs. local junkyards around Daytona was giving $100. bucks per Jag. XJ.XJS, and cutting them up for the rear ends, getting $75.bucks for one! nobody wanted the engines or any other parts so into the crusher and sold to China ,BY the pound! anyway reality can be a Bitch. |
