Default !!! update #1 on no 12v to compressor !!!

ok, i used my 12v diagnostic tool to 1) determine the ac related fuses are good while the key was turned to the accessory position and the climate control was set to auto 2) using the sk jagtech schematic that jose provided, i unplugged the green/brown (g/n) wire at the ranco thermostat and applied 12 volts 3) i measured the volts, using a borrowed volt meter, at the end of the wire that plugs into the compressor harness and read 12 volts so now i know the wiring in the engine compartment is good :} 4) see photo

by disconnecting the two wires at the thermostat and applying 12 volts i could hear the compressor click and the blower motors came on

5) see photo with focus on the inline fuse

with the key turned to accessory and auto selected i probed the base of the inline fuse and no light came on my diagnostic tool. i then removed the fuse and probed the fuse holder itself at the bottom where the wire that is predominantly brown with a thin yellow stripe disappears downward to the delinaire servo connector block if i'm reading the schematic correctly:

now i'm stuck as to what to do next? please don't say the box has to be removed to get to the servo. help please....

Are you saying that there is NO 12v at the fuse?

!!! update #1 on no 12v to compressor !!!-fibxsq4.jpg

just to be clear (i hope), i am not getting power at the base of the twist off fuse holder. as you can in the photo, i've twisted and removed the fuse then placed the probe of my tool into the bottom contact of the fuse holder. i have the key turned to accessory and the climate control moved to auto (i tried low/auto/high/defrost with the same result).

looking at the schematic below where the pen is pointing to, i see the n/y (brown/yellow) not only goes to the servo connector but it goes to a relay i think? if that's correct, maybe i have a bad relay. anyone know where it might be?

What happens if you probe the other end of the fuse holder?

Have you tried bypassing the water temperature switch? This is the switch located on one of the pipes to the heater core, LH side of the heater box, above the console LH 'cheek panel'

You can remove the wires and jump them together. Or......look for the two test wires in the area of the LH cheek panel and jump them together

Cheers

Default ??? Whereabouts of this 3amp fuse???

I found this foldout in the glove box portfolio. Does anyone know where this fuse is in the car? I'm still trying to discover the no power to the entire climate control system. I am making some progress though. Thought maybe this little fuse might be the source but I can't find it.

Default Temp switch bypass test

Doug, the jumping of the temp switch test wires proved futile. Thanks, Ren

The three amp fuse is on the black ground wire to the amplifier, which is behind the LH cheek panel. It can be easily seen in this picture but sometimes you have to do a little digging.

The fuse behind the RH cheek panel is a 10 amp fuse

I saw the inline fuse to ground but didn't think that was it. I wasn't aware a ground wire could have an inline fuse. What would be the reason? It's not supposed to read 12 volts. Correct? In any event, I don't think this fuse is my problem. I will change it anyway. Thanks Doug, Ren

Remove the wires from the Ranco Thermostat and jump them together. Any change
