Sneaky, Clarke . . . very sneaky.

Hey Giovanni; notice he doesn't mention the dreaded winters!

It will be fun to hear Giovanni's perspective as a new arrival. It will be sort of familiar and sort of weird all at the same time. Dont hold back Giovanni , as you probably realise already being partnered with one of us we are fairly robust. Just ask a pom (english) they love nothing better than point out our curious behaviour and failures , it sort of compensates for being trashed by us in so many sports.

Then Giovanni,

If you can swear and tell the most outrageous lies with a perfectly straight face (like all of us have been skillfully trained to do), you will fit right in!

Welcome Giovanni! You will by now have perhaps guessed that a sense of humour and fun is obligatory, the bunch of Jaguar fans in SE QLD are a really friendly and helpful crew - so dive in here and make your mark. We are proud to have you join us!

PS: Have you met the future in-laws yet? If not, let us know and we will provide several really useful advisories about how to treat Queenslanders!

When do you arrive?

Ken

Giovanni good luck in Australia is a great country that I got to know when I was living there in 99-2000. I also have a XJ6 Coupe from California (1975 Series 2) and would like some of your advice since I have started the restoration. I'm specially interested on the upgrades you made to AC, Radiator, Oil, etc.
Many thanks in advance.

Welcome to Aus Giovanni.

If you want to convert your XJC to RHD, this is a very easy modification on early Jaguars, as almost everything is moveable. If you remove the battery tray, underneath are the mounts for the brake booster....just a thought

Giovanni:

Very belated congratulations to you and your bride.

Convert that beauty to electrics!!! A lot of expensive batteries,
the kind that seem to catch fire!!! and, it will take a really
big motor to move that car with any alacrity. But, Tesla, just
down the road from you present island home manages quite well.

Oh, oh, it's CEO and founding father just lost his bride. A curse????

But, what an adventure you are embarking on, enjoy it to the fullest.

And, you get to take all your toys, OK!!!!

Thank you!
There are people buying complete Tesla rear-ends, with motor and doing conversions. Wrecked Teslas are beginning to come into the parts breakers.
