What size is the fuel supply tubing on a 1985 XJ6? Is it 3/8" or 5/16"?
I thought that my 1985 XJ6 had a 3/8" fuel feed line. When I put a new high pressure fuel line in the engine bay, I am 99% sure that I used a 3/8" hose. However, looking at the other end of the fuel system located in the spare tire well, it looks like I have a 5/16" fuel hose going from the filter into the line/bulkhead/fitting/? located in the front right corner of the spare tire well - where the green arrow is pointing.
The hose going to the whatever that is that exits the spare tire well is 5/16". Is that actually the end of the fuel line? Or is there some sort of fitting there
My end goal is go make everything 3/8" from the pump to the engine bay. It seems like there are more 5/16" parts here than I thought.
Any help or info would really be appreciated!

Wanted to follow up on my own thread...
I installed a new fuel pump today and noted that the hoses on the supply/pressure side of the pump (inside the spare tire well) were 5/16".
I then put the car up on the rack to do an oil change. I measured the fuel supply line in several places, and it all measured out to 3/8" OD. I think there is a 5/16" hose forced over the 3/8" fuel supply tube that protrudes into the spare tire well area, making it appear 5/16" from the trunk when it's really 3/8". I am going to replace the fuel filter with a larger less restrictive filter and then I'll find out for sure.
