This is where the optional under-bumper fog lights / driving lights were mounted. I've got them on my Series 3.

Ian, how very dare you! It's an English car relaxing where it was born - you fellows with steering wheels on the wrong side of the car are a complete menace!

That picture was actually taken at the Jaguar Collection in Gaydon, about 25 miles from where the car was built.... Worth a trip if you're ever this side of the Atlantic.

The correct lamps for the Series III cars are Cibié Airport 35 lamps.

I've got the Cibié Optique 35's which I managed to track down in Belgium. I've actually got two sets of yellow lenses for them - fog and driving options. I've got pictures of the car fitted with the originals out of the factory but by the time I took ownership they were gone. Any idea what the difference is between Airport and Optiques, Gregory?

As far as I am aware, the difference is only in the lens colouring because the Airport 35 also had both a driving and a fog lens available, and I have had both. Marketing of the lamp for the French market probably required a French designation ("Optique"), no?
These are the Arport 35 lamps with the driving lamp lens:

Hello! Yes, I get distracted from glueing the old car together by ordinary old life now and then and get back to it when I remember. It's a race between me and rust, with rust up 3 points.
