Wont start!
Hello everyone. I need some help regarding my '95 XJ6. I have a problem with the car starting when the engine is hot. By "not starting" I mean that the engine won't even crank, if I turn the key and jump the solenoid it will fire right off. I know that it isnt the started because I'm not even getting power to the starter. Also, on a different topic, does anyone know where I can get a harmonic balancer?

First.....
When you turn the key "on" does the "P" on the shift indicator glow red? If not, try jiggling the geashift until it does, and then turn the key to 'start'.
If this solves the problem then you need to adjust your linear switch at the geashift.
Lot's of other possibilities, though.

Is yours delaninating? If so, most of us simply send the balancer out to be re-bonded.
I think new balancers are out there for $700-800 but re-bonding is usually about $125-250.
Hopefully an admin will see this thread and move it to the X300 section, which is where it should be if you have a 1995 XJ6
Cheers
