XJ-6 Series 3 A/C Fan Issues
Hi All,
I have been working through issues on my 1983 XJ-6 LHD 4.2l. The latest issue is that I can't get the A/C to blow faster than low. Occasionally, when the planets are aligned, I will get it to blow on high. It is incredibly rare and if I move the switch to low and come hack to high, I still only get low. I have pulled the relays and re-soldered everything. I even tested it, relays are fine. I checked for shorts. Guys, I am out of ideas. Anyone have any ideas to help? I appreciate any and all help!

Does this occur only in "Auto"? Or only if "High" is manually selected? Or both?
If only in " Auto" I suspect the brains of the system are not commanding the high speed operation....although it should be noted high speed would only be commanded when max cooling is called for. High speed is not used when the system is in heating mode or blend mode.
Otherwise I'd suspect a problem with the mode switch.
Cheers

So, I tried 3 different relays. Pulled the switch and checked the microswitches. Turned out to be a loose negative wire on the bottom of the climate control switch. Thanks for everyone's suggestions!
