XJ6 Series 3 Fender Removal?
I have a 1987 Jaguar XJ6 and am attempting to remove the entire front clip. I have removed the Bonnet/Hood, and have removed the fender "Torx" screws along the top of each fender. I have removed the engine compartment "cross brace", and have noticed that there are bolts holding the front fenders to the front fender bracket. The square nuts are viewable from the front near the radiator, but the heads of the bolts I am having trouble accessing as they must be accessed from the inside, yet the wheel well blocks this access. Does anyone have any experience removing XJ6 series 3 Fenders?

have you removed the two bolts that fasten the front bottom fender/wing to the lower grille valance panel?
to access those bolts you need a "wobble" adapter, a 9/16" socket (I think it is 9/16"), a 3" to 5" inch extension, and a ratchet. A ½" ratchet and adapter for 3/8" wobble, extension, and socket will give you more torque power to loosen them.
access to the bolts is at the bottom-front of the fender wheel well, behind the Charcoal Canister. If the valance panel has never been removed, you might have to "slice" where the two panels meet (left of the bottom grille and valance panel), with a thin blade since the two panels are adhesive-caulked together, so removing the bolts will not separate them easily.

Fender help
The square part you are seeing is a nut weled to the body or vailance. Up front there are three bolts accessible from the inside of the wheel well. The are probally heavily coated with rust proofing and road grime. Get in there with a good light and flat blade screw drive to scrape and expose them. They are 1/2 inch fine thread. The lowest one may require a swivel. It's best to use a 1/4 driver if possible. The fenders also bolt to the lower front vailance with two bolts per side.
