Hi, recently I have bought to Jaguars : XJ6 from 1970 and XJ12 from 1972 and I need help with locations of body numbers of this cars. In XJ12 I've found plate with numbers but in XJ6 there isn't. Could someone help me ?

 

In series 1 Xj6 the body number is stamped in the enginebay on the driver's side (LHD) wheelarch (near the coolant reservoir). There also should also be a number plate riveted near, with both chassis and engine numbers.

Or at least in mine it looks like this.

 

My '71 XJ has those same numbers, the stamped ones and the number plate on the LH fenderwell. I am repaintng that section today!...
