XJ6L door panel question
i know the xj6l is longer hence the "L" but can i use xj6 door panels on an xj6l?
i found a nice set of pre 87 panels on ebay for $150 and i'd like to know if they'll work. also does anyone know where to find the top piece of the panel or do i have to fab my own?
much thanks - cory

The Series II "XJ6L" is the same wheelbase as ALL of the Series III XJ6 cars (1979-1987) so the doors will be the same length and I think the door panels will fit. Not necessarily a 100% "direct bolt on" but they should fit.
Somewhere along the line they went from a two piece door trim panel to a one piece...so you might have to do a little work if you're putting a one piece panel on a door that originally had a two piece panel. I can't imagine it would be much effort but I just don't know for sure.
Someone will come along with a more concrete answer.
Cheers
