Are those under-door projectors off of a later model Jag? Great looking car.

Can you tell us more about the headlights, and the door projector...and everything lol

I ordered the headlights off of ebay from a company called octane lighting , They were under $300.00 and I also purchased the optional lighting switch so you can run the Halo lights as daytime running lights
https://www.ebay.com/usr/octane_ligh...53.m2749.l2754 Just put Halo Headlights and Jaguar XJS and your year model in the search function and it should give you many options, I like the solid Halo Rings and not the smaller bulb halo rings but that is just my taste. The Jaguar logo lights are called Ghost /shadow lights and they make two models of these . 1) Model you hardwire in 2) Model that uses batteries They were less than $30.00 and they have a few different options in logo designs you can chose from. Make sure you wire them to your interior lights and not regular lights so they only come on when the interior lights are activated by door opening ) https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_fro...ights&_sacat=0 |
Wow, thats gotta be a fun car to throttle up. I like the execution. The angel eyes are pretty cool. I was once in the camp that they only belong on BMWs but nowadays, theryre a nice touch to custom/restos.

That is what I call making your car yours. Awesome job

Can you describe the Vintage Air system? Cost? Installation? Results?
The original Delanair systems often cause a lot of grief to owners. Cheers DD |
I actually purchased my vintage air from a guy selling it unused on Craigslist for $500 dollars . The vintage air systems usually run around $1,000-1500 for complete universal sets . www.vintageair.com I had the guy rewire my car install the vintage air system while we had the dash out and it fit in behind the glove box barely.
The guy that I purchased the car body from had tried to fix the ac system his self and really made a wreck of all the wiring .I knew it would take hours and hours to just get the wiring right and very costly so I decided it would be best to put in system that would actually be cheaper than trying to correct the original system not to mention that now a regular mechanic can now service my ac system since it now Jaguar specific if that ever comes up in the future. I hope this helps |
Great job. The XJS is a much better base to build a resto mod than an early Ford Falcon, for example. No disrespect intended, I like an early Falcons! The LS has proven to be good fit in the XJS and is easier to maintain. I also would like to see some in progress photos of the a/c installation. Thanks.
