Do you have the VIN for the car. If it is a Late Model 94 it may have the
AJ16 4.0L engine. Some pictures would help.
The price may be worth it if the car has some of the "facelift" mods like the
headlight washers and maybe the 5 spoke alloy wheels.
My experience is something is worth what someone is willing to pay for it.
Don't buy it as a money investment.
Buy it because you like it and having it makes you happy!
Owning a Jag is not sunshine and lollipops everyday. But, it comes close.
There are some bad days for sure. The US Navy has a fun saying:
"A Bitching Ship is a Happy Ship"!
Meaning that if you don't have something to gripe about your ship,
then you don't know and love your ship.
Same goes for Jaguar owners.
Of course some model of Jaguars make their owners fall deliriously in love
with their Jaguars every day !
Buy it and then post your messages of love about your Jaguar XJS here.
We will read every one of them and nod wisely, laugh, cry, snicker and offer sage advice (maybe not so sage stuff too).

The picture/video on YouTube shows that this is a 4.0L engine and not the
AJ16 version. Your VIN has SN: 193137 which is below the 194775 where the AJ16
engines were first installed.
The car shows very well in the video. The paint and interior look great!
How does it start and drive? Best test is to drive it for about 15 minutes on
streets and some freeway speeds then find someplace to park and shut the engine off
and wait about 15 -20 minutes and try to start the engine.
Some of the older 4.0L engines had a hot start quirk that made them reluctant to start
after sitting for a bit after a warm up.
Since this is a dealer try some haggling. If you got the money right there then push
on getting the price down.
But, If you pay the 16K it only helps the average price for all 94 XJS units out there go up.
Whatever you do, buy a Jaguar at least. I'm getting tired of seeing BMW's and Mecedes and Porches out there. Need some change of automotive scenery on the
local roads.
Or maybe go down.
