AC blower motor connectors behind headlight
I have been in the process of restoring my '96 XJS and I am now buttoning up the front end. Behind the headlights there are two 5 pin connectors. In checking the wiring diagram, I've determined that these are in the RH and LH AC Blower Motor circuits, but I cannot remember if they were ever connected to anything. Weird. I do not see any mating connectors nearby, so I'm thinking these may be a test port?????

Behind the headlights seems an odd location for anything related to the blower motors. And finding unused/vacant/mystery connectors is not all all unusual on these cars....as the looms were often designed to accommodate various types of equipment that wasn't fitted to all model variants.
That said, I have zero experience with the late model cars. Let's hear what others have to say Cheers DD |
Most probably either headlight leveler (some markets) or headlight wipers...

The wire colors going into the connectors indicate that they are on the blower motors circuits. ??? Both motors work properly. Hmmm, I'll press on and figure out what does not work once it's roadworthy... close. Thanks for the responses.
