Bottoming out????

Guys when she changes gears, i swear it feels like & (sounds like)
the bottom of the car hits the ground.

Would this be shocks, struts etc...

The transmission mount is probably shot.

Any idea how bad the change out would be? Guess what im asking is it a real PIA to swap out the worn part or parts?

and this only happens when i really get down on it. Going from 1st to 2nd.
looked on ebay and saw transmission mount that looks like a spring, and saw transmission mount parts that look like rubber bushings. and one item that looks like a big round rubber 4" or so grommet.

If you look at the parts listing a JDHT.com it will show you all the parts to this mount. Kirby's book has a good write up on it.

I did look at bernards web-site where he did a pan replacement, and that shows a good bit.

You can also get a look at one being changed by Edd China on the XJS Wheeler Dealers episode. It's worth watching just to see what you'll have to do, and the show is pretty fun.
