This will be my third Jag in as many months I'm trading it for a 1984 Mercedes Benz 280SL that needs some work. The jag is white, the body is straight but the paint, seats and soft top are trashed.

It's a V12. Before we close the deal, i'm going to look at it this Friday. Is there a check list that I need to go through?

I'm most worried about valve damage. The owner says it runs fine but I would like to know if there is something that I should listen out for.

I'm not too worried about it being a project car. Everything else I can live with aside from pulling heads.
