How fast?

Had to have a police officer come to my house this morning to verify the VIN# on my Jag. He pulled in, jumped out of his car and was all over the convertible before I could get there.
When I got close he was grinning ear to ear and said "I LOVE Jags! Where'd you get this?" He wanted to see the engine, hear it run, etc. Before he left he said "You know, you really should open it up on the highway to clean that engine out once in awhile, and if you want to check your speedometer against the radar to check for "accuracy" sometime, just let me know!"
Hee hee...sounds like an invitation to me! :icon_steer:

cool story bro. to check your vin? why?

JameyXJ6 Mar 29, 2012 06:04 AM

No title needed on vehicles older than 96 in NH, but if it was bought out of state they have to verify the VIN# so someone doesn't try to buy a stolen car and register it here.

ill keep my title, tucked away safely, thank you.

You can apply for a title for $25, it just isn't needed to own/register the car.

Found out the Jag will spin the wheels on dry pavement without too much encouragement. I was trying to cut into traffic and gave it a little too much gas, left a pair of rubber strips on the road!

sweet. i can get mine loose with a little bit of throttle, but after that it bogs out.

ronbros Apr 4, 2012 10:18 AM

now i suppose you guys want a pic of a full on BURNOUT.

i can smoke the tires till there shredded, its called brake bias control.

NO i'm not going there, neighbors are unhappy now with my exhaust sounds, 5" pipe = V12 = blipping the throttle.

not necessary. i drive a 290 horse, 340lbft supercharged Fail Wheel Drive V6. burnouts are something im all too familiar with.

JameyXJ6 Apr 4, 2012 07:38 PM

When I was young and foolish I was known for burning tires off the rims, but now I'm wiser and realize just how expensive tires are!

M90power Apr 4, 2012 07:45 PM

burnouts arent something i like to do. just something that comes with the territory of a high torque Fail wheel drive car.
