Inoperative Window Lift motors
Good afternoon Gentlemen,
would be pleased if some can advise on the following:
Car: 1984 RHD HE V12 (Australian model)
Symptoms: Both window lift motors inoperative.
Questions: the manual indicates that the circuit is protected by a thermal circuit breaker, a relay and suggests that there is a fuse on the circuit.
if all this is correct, where are the following located:
- which fuse protects the circuit (not listed in the circuit diagrammes;
- where are the relay & thermal circuit breaker located in the car.
Thank you sincerely in advance. With best wishes from sunny Myrtleford Victoria.

Will have to wait for someone with an older car, as the fuse panel is probably different since it uses the old type fuses.
the fuses for mine are definitely in the fusebox, don't recall if its the one under the steering wheel or the one under the glove box.
If you are waiting for an answer I would go ahead and pull out the window switch and check for voltage since they are easy access

HOWEVER, first check the switches. These can be levered out carefully from above, or, unscrew the panel they are set into and push them out from behind. See if there is power to the switches, they are notorious for failing. It is easy to take them apart and clean up the burnt contacts if they have failed.

Mal & Greg,
thank you sincerely for the valued assistance.
due to the photo I was able to locate the thermal fuse.
from your responses I assume that there is no fuse allocated on the main or ancillary fuse panel.
regards
