let's talk headers.

So I am getting my header flanges waterjet cut, and I am getting the ice engine works mock up kit,

They will be 1.625 tubing

So should I do 6 into 2 into 1 like the traditional headers.

Or, 6 into 1 like aston Martin v12 headers are built like?

Any other suggestions or input would be wonderful

I truly have no idea!
Everything I have read and seen, says Jags system is good, never heard of headers helping.
For the life of me, cant remember where I saw it, but a shop in the UK has a kit that uses 2 balanced and tuned downpipes, plus the entire exhaust in ss if you want it.
They have a great site with info about such things.
Can anybody help, before Calvin sinks money in?

Have you considered this approach? Should look great with a set on the other side too.

2 sections means less chance of warping and it will be easier to remove and install

If we are going that route, this would be my preference:

I would be going down the path of what Lister did, I believe and even they said there is a lot of HP to be made out of the exhaust alone. The way I am thinking for mine is two banks of 3 connect cylinder 1-2-4 and 3-5-6 then like the original 2 to 1 and exit. I think room is going to be the issue here and the above sequence will most likely give you the closest to having all tubes the same length. I plan to nearly duplicate as much as I can the original setup but just have those tubes longer but coming to the same point under the car.

Not that I know of. He's too busy building, modifying, driving, and racing The Pearl, to be on a forum writing about XJSes. lol

I'm going to make a setup that looks similar to that, and the lister setup.

We'll see how it comes out.

I was thinking about going for these , removing the exhaust as quickly as possible in these cars because of the restriction is key. The Ferrari headers are 44 primary tubes not sure about the other photo
