The shop I used last time which got to the root of my last issue is super booked and I don't really feel like waiting much longer as I want the car ready by the summer.

Any recommendations on good mechanics in Manhattan that have experience with an XJS? The Bronx is also fine and certain parts of Queens.

BTW the last shop I used was XJR Auto in Midtown.

 

This may be a bit further away than you are looking, but JSS Performance in Mineola is good. It's the place where the previous owner took my my XJS. They seem to have taken good care of it from what I can see.

Thanks for the reply Bill. All throughout this Forum I've seen Martin's name pop up from Jagpro but wanted someone closer to home. This place is actually closer than Jagpro.

I actually gave Martin a call today asking about him fixing my air conditioning issue and he said it's common with this car and even after a fix, it will still continue to give me issues.

He said that there are no upgrades that would permanently fix an AC on this car. Not sure how confident this makes me in his abilities but he sounded knowledgeable in regards to XJSs.

I'll def write your recommendation down though and give them a call to compare. Thanks!
