No crank after jump star...Oh bother!
 

So I start my day charging the a/c, replacing a couple tires and while replacing a power window motor ran down the battery to the point the starter just clicked.
This lead to the mentioned jump, At this point the starter made no attempt at all, the fuel pump came on but was just like I had the trans selector in a drive gear and the safety was keeping the starter from operating. I held the key in the forward position and ran the shifter up and down the hears and still no go on the starter
Did I short something out? The weather is finally good and I finally got the car together and it sits in the driveway like a beautiful statue.

I did a search but most were "cranks and no start"

Might as well begin the the easy stuff....

Battery cables clean and tight?

Ground cable from battery clean at tight where it bolts to the body?

The morning will bring a new day. I guess I should start with the easy stuff. I just figure I messed it up good.

So I cleaned the battery cables and the cable grounds in the trunk, and it started, well for a while.
Same thing happened after a couple outings. so back in the trunk I went to wiggle wires around and it worked again. So then I spent a couple hours cleaning and snugging up every connection to the right of the battery box and fingers crossed all good since.
I believe the culprit was one or both of the wires that are spade connected directly to the heavy/main positive cable a few inches from the battery, they looked like there has been a little heat from draw on them, not sure what they power, but I will investigate that.

Its a big engine and larger engines need more power, which
means larger size jump cables. Also, as l'm sure you know, the engine of the power donor car should be running.

Is the battery in good condition it may be contributing to the problems with the connections.
