Hyundai gave a 50$ gift card to test drive a car I told them to have something fun
it was a veloster turbo automatic ... went through 3 gears to get to 60.... seemed slower than my v12... it was boooring...

hey, got the gift card, gave it to the wife...

Wow, they gave you a "fun" car that can't get to 60 before a 35 year old engine? That's just plain sad.

I'd hate to have known what they would have given you had you said nothing...

Rented quite a few current models lately. They all seem to have 6-7 speeds and want to use them all up before they cross the intersection. Must be economy driven. Those with tip-ironic or whatever they want to call it are far better as you can drive them somewhere between lame and WOT.

Whew???

I think my venerable old 94 Jeep Grand Cherokee ands it's antique
4.0 I6 could match or even beat that.

My Lt1 powered Jaguar would blow it's doors off....

Just guessing, though.

Progress????

I do know that before I even got her running on all 12 smoothly I used to be able to SHAME the FRS's

now she is even faster..
and that Hyundai was even slower... than a FRS I think...
I was polite and stated Wow I bet you sell a lot of these to the navy guys that get stationed here...
