sticky stuff to make emblems stick

One of my emblems recently fell off somewhere. I got a replacement on ebay, but the think doesn't have any sticky stuff on the back.

Recommendations on what to use?

Thanks,

John

3M double sided stuff specially made for this task. It is red in colour and comes on a reel.

You place the emblem on the tape and use a scalpel to cut round the outer edges of the emblem, then peel off and stick.

That will work Steve.

Fits right alongside 2 fantastic Aussie products. NO help for adhesive qualities, just could not resist.

Not sure of the specie. But, I found a one tube fix by Eastwood. I used it on the back of my car to affix the V8 badge. So far, so good.

Google "emblem cement". I'm always amazed at what I can do that way...

I bought some 3M Emblem Adhesive, but I think I’m going to go with this tape! Timely help, thank you!

Lol. Just use 3M tape and make sure it super clean, then get a hairdryer and warm up the contact surface a bit, if youre in a cold climate, Once warm, apply emblem and keep pressure for 30secs. Other than that... Id use gorilla glue. The foamy overflow has a nice DIY appearance to it.

I actually ended up using a 3M product, Emblem Adhesive. It has an interesting application method. Clean the area and the back of the emblem (of course), put some of the stuff on the back of the emblem, press it into the desired location, pull it back off and wait 10 seconds, then press it on for the final time. It's suppose to be good in an hour or so, but being a firm believer in overkill, I put masking tape on it, them gently clamped it for overnight. Looks great.

Grant, if the shipping wasn't expensive, I'd pay to have you send me a can of your starter fluid. Too funny!

Thanks,

John
