What are the correct Hose Clamps?
Many of the hose clamps on my XJS are the worm gear style;
Since most auto manufactures do not use this style of hose clamp I suspect that most of the ones on my car are not original/correct.
What style of clamps did Jaguar originally use for the water and fuel hoses? (pictures would be greatly appreciated)
Thanks!
Mark

They are just a british variety of worm clamps. Be careful of chinese versions, not just the quality, but the actual look too. The british ones are stamped instead of cut out like the ones you have here, and some of the cheap versions are stamped very squarely, where the correct british ones come to more of a point.
If you can't just find them by googling british hose clamp, try a specialty place like moss motors, though they may mostly have wire clamps
Obviously from the watermark these are foreign, but the type of stamping is pretty much correct.
Interesting that British cars are so known for leaks, because the british invented the hose clamp, it was originally called a jubilee clip, and I am willing to bet you can find the proper clamps using this search term as well, since brits are probably the only ones that use it anymore. In fact if you want the legit stuff, order them from http://www.jubileeclips.co.uk/
