Hi Keesh, love the thatched roof and the celeb edition teal color. By the way i have a place in Nunspeet near Zwolle. Not sure how far are you from there. Next time i am in NL I will let you know and maybe we can meet up. When there I drive this old 200 SLK, 2 liter supercharged with 300 K kilometers.

Default A parts car for my new Convertible.

I bought a parts car for my convertible. I've already id'd the parts I can use which covers what I paid for it.
Isn't there an old saying that; "if you drive a Jag...you need two of them"?

I love this car! My Porsches clutch is toast and went back into storage for another year. Nothing better than a car with a clutch replacement of $1500...

Mirror-matched instrument panel wood? That's unusual, I think. Would that mean it's actually real wood? I certainly have my doubts about mine....

Yes, it is a real wood veneer. But not well done.

Hmm. This thread seems to have died. But, like a quality Jag, there ain't nothing wrong a bit of action can't fix....
Anyway, this wasn't technically today, but I edited it today, so that counts, right? It just really brought home how small the XJS is....

She looks like a mini compared to the modern cars around her.

Hi Keesh

You are right! but the XJS is such a long Car that you almost need a packed lunch when you walk from one end to the other!

Yeah, the car seems massive at times, especially when you're polishing her, but compared to modern cars? Not really. I might have posted this pic before, but here she is with a modern XJ. She barely comes up to the waist of her much younger brother....

When you think about it, her wheels look pretty big, because they take up so much of the side of the car, but they're only 15 inches. Can you imagine an XJS with today's fashionable 22-inchers?

Hi Someday

Not seen that pic before but the XJS certainly looks deceptive when it comes to size, so long, so sleek and so stylish what more could anyone need, except perhaps another one that you can use whenever She breaks down!
