Default Wires to nowhere?

I thought it would be easier to show you what I'm asking about than to try to explain. Basically, I worked on my engine last week, and today noticed these two wires were just hanging down where I put them towards the end of the video. One female pin and one male pin, both look unused, to be honest. I do not remember pulling these out. Audio is disabled, as it was a VERY windy day and the audio was unhelpful. Any ideas where these are supposed to go? What is that cylinder thing under the front of the hood anyway?

I have a Lucas system in my car, as I'm thinking it might be for the "M" system (I forget the name of that other system, other than it starts with an "M").

Not sure about the wires. What color are they? It isn't clear in the video.

That's the secondary ignition coil in front of the radiator

If I follow the video correctly, these two wire are the wires from the secondary coil to the primary coil by the throttle capstan. One goes on the negative terminal; one on the positive. They go + to + and - to - between the two coils. Look at the secondary coil top, and a tiny + and - will be cast into the plastic. The terminals may only go one way, anyway. If the secondary coil is disconnected, the car will run, but will misfire above 3000 rpm under load.
