XJS facelift headlight cover recondition

I'm not sure what you mean by diamond shaped. The XJS either had one ovular light on each side, considered "euro", or two circular lights, considered "US."
The reflective coating in my euro lights has come off nearly completely. I feel like when I examined them befoe it seemed like they could be separated, but I didn't examine them too closely. I'd guess even a mediocre metal look paint could do a better job than the orange color that is leftover, especially polished, but there are much more expensive chrome type paints available that look like the real deal.
I'm pretty sure the US lights are sealed beams, so they can't be serviced, but can be easily replaced.

Nobody sells just the lens.
If your lights are white foggy, don’t disassemble and use a headlight repair kit (such as a Meguires product from Autozone or toothpaste or a myriad other options)If you lights are yellow, that won’t rub off. One slightly interesting claim is that the yellow is caused by UV leaching of iodine, so it could be chemically removed. I’ve seen people suggest retr0brite and others peroxide and oxyclean among other home brews. IfYou do try a home brew, the lenses can be removed by heating the lamp unit slightly in your wife’s oven. Good luck! I haven’t tried this yet on my yellowed lights. Mistakes are Too expensive !
