Has enyone ever had this problem? Late last night(it was cold, 25deg) i went to close my door and it would not latch shut. I tried locking and unlocking the door a few times. Turned ingition on and off but it would not latch. Since I was only a block away from home I held the door closed and drove to my house. As I pulled away and When the car went into 2nd gear I heard the door lock click and now it works again. Is it ok to spray something like WD-40 in the door lock latch or is this a bad idea?

 

I'd try a graphite or silicone spray instead of WD-40. From what I have read, the WD will wash away oil/grease. Do a Google search on WD40

 

Happening to me right now (2x in one wee)... Heat gun is your best bet. This never happened on my VDP... XK no like cold weather, but sure does heat buns up quickly!
