'08 XJR Wheels on an '07 XK?
As a newbie XK owner ('07) I'm still learning. One thing I'm looking for is a reasonable set of wheels and winter tires and trying to figure out how much flexibility I have.
For example, there's a set of 18" Ronal wheels from an '08 XJR for sale locally. Any chance that's the same bolt pattern and a workable offset for my '07 XK? Thx! |
Im 99.9% sure you'll be great there. I have seen sources that state its 5x120, but every wheel i've seen for the 07 XK have had the 5x108 pattern.
What is your current size, 18, 19, or 20" Have you considered buying a 'knockoff' like this just for your purpose. I know, its a 20" and if you don't have 20" now, it would be futile, but these are fairly inexpensive. 5 x 4.75 (same as 5 x 120.65) 1976-1996 XJ-S / XJS XJ-S XJ-s cabriolet XJ-SC XJS XJS cabriolet 1989-1994 XJ XJ6 XJ12 XJ Vanden Plas 1995-2003 XJ XJ6 XJ8 XJ8L XJ12 XJR XJR 100 XJ Vanden Plas 1997-2006 XK XK8 XK8 cabriolet XKR XKR cabriolet XKR 100 XKR 100 cabriolet XKR Silverstone XKR Portfolio 5 x 4.25 (same as 5 x 108) 2000-2008 S-Type 3.0 4.0 4.2 S-Type R 2002-2008 X-Type 2.5 3.0 3.0 Sport Wagon 2004-2009 XJ XJ8 XJ8L XJR XJ Super V8 XJ Vanden Plas 2007-2009 XK XK XK cabriolet XKR XKR cabriolet XKR Portfolio 2008-2009 XF Luxury Premium Luxury Supercharged |

Thanks for all the info. That's encouraging. (mine are 19", btw). Is there any way to tell looking at my current XK rims and the XJ rims with the snows if they'll fit, without pulling off a wheel and trying them on? . |
you could measure the circumference...or radius of the pattern, and calculate pretty easily. That's what i would do.

You should have no problems. I ran my old 18" winters from my 05XJR on my 09 XKR with out a fitment problem. The only issue that I had was my 05 wasn't fitted with TPMS so I had to deal with the anoying light on the dash and a warning triangle in place of the electronic clock in the gauge pod video display. If you're looking for a new setup I just bought a nice set of Blizzaks and wheels with TPMS sensors for $1400 from tirerack.( I couldn't deal with the little lights for another winter)
