Default 20” Cremona wheel center caps

I had my ‘08 wheels refinished and I am now looking for a new set of center caps. I had bought a set off of eBay and they did not fit tight like the old ones. It seems the tabs that have the retaining ridge on it are too long. The diameter was perfect just loose. Does anybody have any info as to where I can get a set that would fit the Cremona’s? Looking for the black / chrome with the Jaguar head.

Wrap the tabs with electrical tape and try again.

Or, dress them with center design....as I did with my replacement rims as shown below. These are a sticker I found online that worked out very nicely to my satisfaction.

I just did this get a roll of 3/4” friction tape from electrical at local hardware store. One wrap will be perfect...

Yup, I did that with the standard electrical tape. Works great :-)

I’m still looking and searching for a correct fitting cap. I just don’t like the thought of jury rigging the caps with tape. But what else can I expect from China/HongKong for a fitup.
Probably will tape em till I find a set that fit. I just can’t ride around without any center caps that wouldn’t be right either.

I'm just a little confused here. If you want the cap to fit correctly then go to Jaguar and buy the cap from them. The aftermarket copies need help as you found out to make fit but serve the purpose. So buy OEM

I did investigate the OEM Jag of Harrisburg Pa (closest) and they were 40$ A cap for a piece of plastic but that would give you choice of red or black, wow. This is the one with the standard growler head not a machined aluminum cap.
I have an email to a dealer that is showing 12.50 a cap in NJ
I’ll find something along the way.

OK I didn't get that out of your earlier post. So it appears you just don't want to spend the money. OK got ya.

Spending money for a piece of plastic that is 3$ from China that doesn’t fit can be expected.
Spending 40$ for basically same piece of plastic is not acceptable. Jesse James had a gun and never had it that good!

I’ll wait for reply from Jag dlr in NJ. 50$ for 4 that fit is still high but acceptable. I would expect double China cost at the very least. So I’m ok with 12$ (4x China) ea.

Our forum Sponsor S N G Barratt lists both OE Jaguar and aftermarket Wheel Badges.

(click on the image to enlarge it)

$26.24 for the OE which is a considerable saving on Dealer price and $7.20 for aftermarket.

The price difference between OE (made in Italy) and aftermarket (made somewhere in the far east) is the OE fits perfectly and lasts longer.

The cost from our Jag forum sponsor is still double the cost of the Jag dealer I have an email to.

That's very good for OE in the US where Jaguar parts costs are usually considerably higher than in the UK.

I've just paid 30 UKP ($41.87) for a set of OE red ones last week. Discounted from the RRP of 66.80 UKP ($93.23).

I have a set of the SNG aftermarkets on the way. I’ll post how they fit when they arrive.

I used the tape solution on eBay caps on my X100. Never an issue. Even after the total loss accident the caps were still on.

Well after a morning of surfing I have a set of OEM on order from an Orlando Fla Jag dlr. $48.00 delivered. Have them by Friday.
I just can’t believe the cost spread on these caps from different dealers.

I have some aftermarket Chinese caps on 2 of my wheels, (the original caps tabs broke off) and within a few months they are faded and not shiny anymore, while the 2 original OEM still look good. I'd like to get a set of red caps, but am too cheap to spend that kind of money on something so trivial, especially now that I know OEM is the way to go.

The only one that would ever notice the difference is me.

It's all in the car soap. If you use a car wash the detergent is very strong and fades the paint that the copies use. The OEM has a better process. If you want the cheap ones to stay bright then give them a few coats of clear coat paint .

Default Update on center caps

The caps I received from the Orlando Jag dealer where the ones with ‘Jaguar’ spelled out across them. They were not the Growler.
After biting the bullet I bought 4 from Jag dealer in Harrisburg Pa at 34.00 ea...ouch.

To my dismay I had forgot to check this place out prior as I did get the 2 floor mat retainers like new from them delivered for 8$. In US they are 11-13$ each.

https://www.autoreservejaguar.com/

They have them for 25$ each delivered.

How wide are the 20" tires in the rear?
