The truest irony is like I suggested up thread, that the OP has vanished with his evidence...

Yep, the sign up, log in, ask a question and never return types attack again. I'm almost always reluctant to respond. Stuck between wanting to help and seeing if they return.

The tell seems to be the guys who join when they've bought a car and don't yet have an issue. They're more likely to come back.

Well, when you sign up as Frustrated XKR Owner, maybe they were already done, and just leaving this here.

Still, I like that it has gone to multiple pages of Jaguar talk despite their absence. We're a bunch of slightly crazy folk here, and its a good thing.

So I guess we agree to disagree on whether this is a problem. Maybe we should list all of the problems brought up on the form and put up a sticky on Why You Shouldn't Buy A X150 Jaguar. We got what we got.

Sounds reasonable. I can only reliably comment on my own empirical evidence, an engine swap at 20K, and those who have claimed to had the same transplant, which is more than a few. My dealer has done three. And yet with all that said, if need be I'd quickly and without reservation or hesitation jump into another, as it is well worth the risks. If I wanted the reliability of a shoe, I would have bought a Honda.
