The Continental DWS 06 (and now the 06+) tends to get a lot of votes in that category. I have them on both my XK and my Lexus. I originally found the sidewalls a bit too soft for my XK, and was better after increasing the tire pressure (and I found out later that the recommended pressure for the 20” wheels I put on the car, is a bit higher than that for the 19” wheels that originally came on the car).

You’ll probably get lots of opinions on your question.
I also have the Continental DWS06+ in 19” size. Can’t speak to how they are in 20”. Price was reasonable too at about $1050 all in when bought in November 2021 plus a $70 rebate. Mileage warranty is halved on staggered sizes though but I don’t drive the car enough to worry about that. Do get a full alignment with any new set of tires.
They drive well enough for me and are quiet and comfortable especially compared to the summer performance tires I had before. I wanted a year round tire as do drive the car in colder months but not in snow.

Continental DWS06+ on 19" wheels here also. I like them for comfort and they are quiet as all seasons go. A little more roll than like on sharp cornering as compared to my Bridgestones but that was to be expected.

Great ! thanks for the advice I will check out the continental tires i too like to take the car out in the colder months and don't want to be limited with a summer tire.

Michelin Pilot Sport All-Season 4 are also highly regarded and only slightly more expensive than the Continental DWS (at least on Tire Rack in the US). I have Pilot Sport 4S on mine (summer tire) so I'm a bit biased toward Michelin as those have been excellent.

I'll just let the newbies know, since I haven't said anything in many years....
Michelin PSS tires tried to kill me. I had four of them on for fewer than 3000 miles and large chunks of tread down to the cord was coming off all four tires. While Michelin Inc did refund prorated monies, I will never use Michelin tires again in my life.

I had the Conti DWS06 on my Ferrari, and I put the Michelin PS4AS (that's the all-season version of the ever-popular Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires) on my 2014 XKR.

IMO, the DWS06 were pretty great, but I think I prefer the PS4AS a little more. I've been driving around the PNW for the past few months from summer deep into winter with the severe floods and monsoon storms, and the tires have given me excellent traction consistently.

Are you sure you're not comparing your worn-out DWS tires to the new PS4s? Of course new tires perform better than old ones.

Well, given that they were brand new Contis that I paid for in 2021, I'm fairly certain. But please weigh in if you think the installer hoodwinked me with old used ones somehow.

I assume you drove the car with the Contis installed? I assume those Contis were subjected to wear while being driven? <----That there is my point. It is impossible to know one tire is better than the other 'because I had them' when you use one set for years and go from those once-new to then worn-out tires to some brand spankin' new Different brand. Of COURSE the new ones will feel better...... they are NEW. Buy one set of each tire, mount them on the car within minutes of each other to maintain road or track conditions, THEN compare. Not years and thousands of miles of use apart.

My dude, WTF are you talking about?? I bought brand new Conti Extreme Contact DWS06 tires for my Ferrari in 2021, and I bought brand new Michelin PS4AS tires for my Jaguar XKR a year later, to the month. So, comparing new tires to new tires. And I can promise you in the time that transpired, I didn't put anywhere near sufficient wear on the Contis to make them "worn" or not new. Think about the average mileage that goes on a Ferrari, and then I sold it when I bought the next XKR. So not many miles, but plenty of them in very hard driving conditions (which, I can promise you with absolute certainty, are more extreme than any driving you put your cars through), making the driving experience a very good way to get a feel for them.

You're clearly making some assumptions and leaps of logic because you didn't ask for clarification, and it's making you look, well, ridiculous.

So, you tried them on completely different vehicles. Wow, I guess that WAS as scientifically accurate as possible. Well done!
My wife put Michelins on her Prius, I had Shandongs on my Porsche. The Shandongs are SO much better!

So I have firsthand experience with both sets of tires? Check. Both are new. Check. Both sets tested high performance vehicles? Check Both tested in extreme performance driving situations? Check. Both compared within a short time frame? Check.

This seems like a slam dunk use case that OP was asking about. Further, these are two of the top rated tires in the category, so comparisons are going to be very subjective with minor difference, like I've said. You're being completely ridiculous and making an absolute fool of yourself. I hope you appreciate that fact as much as I do. 🤡

Please save your energy and don't bother replying to this thread, you've clearly disconnected from reality and I have better things to do than continue to clown on you.

@OP, I don't think I can provide you much more detailed info, they're both great sets of tires. As I mentioned, I just personally preferred the PSAS4s slightly more due to their admirable performance in lots of rain and colder weather that I've seen lately. I didn't test the DSW06 in much rain, but they performed very well when I did. Feel free to ask any other questions.

I have the Michelin Pilot Sports on my E38 (sticky!) and the Contis on my XK (handle fine in the light snow of Chicago.)

I imagine the Michelins would feel pretty sticky on the Jag too, but winter driving is taking your life into your (tires) hands.

These tires are all very close in comparison but being my jag wont be doing any drifting in snow or for that matter driven hard in rain or dry . I think I'm going with the conti's .
they seem to be right around the mark as far as quality, price, and needs . Thanks to all for sharing knowledge and experience .......
